Fight Against Poverty and Social Exclusion
 
Parliamentary committee
To ensure that the bill and the National Strategy to Combat Poverty and Social Exclusion reflect the concerns of all Quebeckers, the Québec government held public hearings on Bill 112 in the context of a parliamentary committee. These hearings were held over a period of 17 days, from October 1 to 19, 2002. Numerous groups and organizations from throughout Québec appeared before the Commission des affaires sociales to present their briefs. This is an important phase in the Québec government’s implementation of the National Strategy to Combat Poverty and Social Exclusion. Over the course of 2002, all regions have been encouraged to give their feedback on the orientations proposed by the government to combat poverty and social exclusion. |
