Partners
The Department acts in tandem with provincial, regional and local partners that include the Commission des partenaires du marché du travail, regional labour market partner boards, sector-based workforce committees, and local communities. It also works closely with numerous community organizations involved in the job sector and in anti-poverty and rights advocacy initiatives. In addition, its action is coordinated with that of all government departments and agencies with a social and economic mission. Within the framework of the Québec Parental Insurance Plan, in effect since January 1, 2006, the Department works hand-in-hand with the Conseil de gestion de l'assurance parentale to ensure that the latter fully exercises its role as the trustee of the Plan. The Department also maintains partnership ties with the Comité consultatif de lutte contre la pauvreté et l’exclusion sociale.
