Although generally reserved for adults or families who are last-resort financial assistance recipients, the claim slip may, under certain conditions, also be issued to a dependent child who does not live at home, an adult, or a family who does not receive last-resort financial assistance benefits from the Department. Direct depositIf you currently receive your last-resort financial assistance benefits in the form of a cheque, you can request to have them deposited directly into your bank account. This occurs on the 1 of the month or the working day preceding it. Every month, you will also receive the monthly statement, claim slip and notice of deposit by mail. You must complete the monthly statement and return it to your local employment centre (CLE), as usual.
