The Pregnant Minors Financial Assistance Measure is provided under the Individual and Family Assistance Act. The main purpose of the measure is to grant monthly financial assistance to minors who:

• are at least 20 weeks pregnant

and

• are without financial resources

By complementing other types of support offered by the Ministère de la Santé et des Services sociaux (MSSS), this assistance from the Ministère de l’Emploi et de la Solidarité sociale helps ensure the health of pregnant minors and their future babies.
