Financial assistance
The amount of financial assistance depends on your circumstances:
- $191 per month if you live in accommodation managed by a non-profit organization that provides you with room and board. The organization must not be a rehabilitation centre, a group hostel run by a youth centre or a foster family.
- $770 per month in other situations.
These amounts are in effect for 2012.
The assistance may be reduced if you receive other types of income during your pregnancy.
