Eligibility
The program is for workers who have been let go or laid off and who meet the following criteria:
- have worked for an employer who operates a business in Québec;
- are 55 to 59 years of age at the time of the dismissal or layoff;
- have contributed for 20 years to the Régime de rentes du Québec or the Canada Pension Plan for 30 years preceding the dismissal or layoff;
- were dismissed or laid-off between April 1, 2009 and March 31, 2012.
