Filing an application

If you have not found a job following your dismissal or layoff and you meet the eligibility criteria indicated on the application form for financial assistance, you may file an application.

In the case of a worker eligible for employment insurance, the application must be filed no later than the third month following the termination date of your benefits.

In the case of a worker who is not eligible for employment insurance benefits, the application must be filed within the following periods:

  • for a dismissal, not later than the fourth month following the month of the dismissal;
  • For a layoff, not later than the seventh month following the month off the layoff.

To apply for financial assistance, you must complete and sign the provided for this purpose by the Ministère de l’Emploi et de la Solidarité sociale. The form is available at your local employment centre (CLE)New window..
