Minimum wage as of May 1, 2018 – General rate raised to $12 an hour

As of May 1, the general rate of the minimum wage will increase to $12 an hour, an increase of $0.75 an hour. The increase will improve the purchasing power of some 352 900 workers and allow businesses to increase productivity, particularly by reducing staff turnover.
